Having Courage to Heal
Each week, people ask me how to heal themselves. The answer: inner work, persistence, and the courage to heal. When I first began my healing journey, I didn't know exactly how. I knew that I wanted to feel better. I was struggling with chronic anxiety and long bouts of low-grade and more severe depression. I knew there had to be another way. I decided to make a list of some things that I do now, and some things that have helped me in the past.
Here are some things that I do, or have done to heal:
(no particular order)
-Meditation
-Watching/changing my thoughts. All day, everyday!
-Accepting my gifts and using them in the world
-Rest
-Yoga asana (postures)
-Breathwork
-Energetic clearing of other people's energy
-Boundary Work
-Outside time, time in natural water
-Bare feet on the Earth
-Creating an energetic sanctuary in my home. (Your home is an extension of your energy field)
-Using selenite to clear my energy field.
-Crystal Grids
-High vibrational music, mantra music
-Blessing water and food
-Strongly limiting television, news, and social media, stay out of the mud.
-Staying in the flow, watching my thoughts, staying in gratitude
-Louis Hay Affirmations. These are good starters!
-Writing. Every morning I write and feel into the energy of the new day.
-Creative Visualization
-Trauma work. Working with a licensed professional to heal trauma. EMDR was a game changer.
Don't try to do everything at once. Pick one thing! I seek out my own healing so I can be of service to the world. We were born to be here at this time. There is nothing that is happening "by accident."
